The renewal is the result of a deal between distributor and Fox Stations Group, which carries the show in the largest U.S. “There is an avalanche of health information hitting Americans every day and our show has become a field guide in helping viewers navigate their path to wellness,” said Dr. Mehmet Oz, host of the show since its premiere in 2009. “I am honored to be able to continue our mission to make America healthier and happier.” Currently in its seventh season, “The Dr. Oz Show” has been a solid performer, averaging a 1.4 Nielsen household rating in live-plus-same day numbers through the week of May 16 — even with its performance through the same week a season prior. “We are thrilled to continue this relationship with our partners at Fox,” said executive producer Amy Chiaro. “It’s a privilege to be able to spread the message that you have the power to take charge of your health and that step begins at home.” “The Dr. ![]()
