Cynthia Lynn Hogue, 61, of Hermitage, passed away at 11:45 a.m. 6, 2017) at her residence of 30 years after a short one-month battle with lymphoma. Cindy was born on Nov. 6, 1955, in Mercer, to Robert and Karen 'Brooke' King Huston. She married Jeffrey Donald Hogue on July 11, 1976. Cindy worked as an interior decorator at N.N. And then at Bolotin's Furniture where she retired. She attended Notre Dame Parish where Jeff is in a folk group. Hogue was a 1974 graduate of Mercer High School and a 1978 graduate of Slippery Rock University where she studied Health and Physical Education. Cindy loved her family and Christmas. Jeff and Cindy were high school sweethearts who married at 20. She vacationed yearly in Fenwick Island, Del. She enjoyed camping with her family and she loved swimming. Cynthia is survived by: her husband at the residence; one son: Ryan Scott Hogue and his wife Deborah; and one daughter, Jessica Lynn, wife of Timothy Check, all of Wadsworth, Ohio; her parents: Robert and Brooke Huston in Mercer; two sisters: Jayme, wife of Glenn Schaper in Grove City, and Sally, wife of John Young in Mercer; one brother, Jeffrey Huston and his wife Sue in Pittsburgh; as well as four grandchildren who were the light of her life: Xander and Carter Hogue; Rory and Hallie Check.
